Squid Shooter drops you into underwater arenas where you're battling other players in fast-paced shooting matches. The theme is obvious—inspired by that show everyone watched—but the gameplay stands on its own. Quick rounds, simple controls, and enough chaos to keep things interesting.
Matches are short, usually a few minutes max. You spawn, grab weapons, and start shooting. The underwater setting adds some interesting physics—projectiles move differently, jumps feel floaty, and cover matters more when movement is slower. It's not realistic, but it's fun.
WASD to move, mouse to aim and shoot. Standard shooter controls. You can pick up different weapons scattered around the map—some rapid-fire, some heavy-hitting. Each weapon has different underwater physics, so switching weapons mid-match changes your strategy.
The maps are designed with lots of cover and vertical elements. You're constantly swimming between platforms, using structures to block shots, and trying to flank opponents. The underwater movement means you can approach from angles that wouldn't work in normal shooters.
Keep moving. Standing still underwater makes you an easy target. Use the vertical space—swimming above or below opponents throws off their aim. And grab weapons frequently. Better guns win fights.
Watch the map edges. Players often lurk at spawn points trying to catch new arrivals. Don't swim straight into the center at the start. Take a second, grab a weapon, and then engage. Those extra few seconds make the difference.
